It might be worth sharing some information about it on the HDMI2USB list (specially once you get it working). The other students working on this project might find it useful, specially Ayush who is working on the serial port stuff.
It would be good to dump some details into the following github issue to https://github.com/timvideos/HDMI2USB/issues/44
I think this UART might become a great way to debug the firmware. Can you post some details to the wiki when you get it all working?
I will do that once I get all the things working. I underestimated the work needed to be done for UART. Haven't been able to make it work flawlessly. I guess I will need some more time.
